The FleishmanHillard Brussels Web Summit

Websites and e-mail newsletters have become staples of how we do business in Brussels, but we’ve noticed there are so few resources available for people to understand how to approach them strategically – to figure out how they actual deliver results in the context of organisational goals or policy goals.

To counter this, the FH Digital, Social & Creative team would like to announce the FleishmanHillard Brussels Web Summit.

This two-day event on May 14th & 15th will focus on teaching attendees (almost) everything you need know about websites. Just like with #FHFiveDays – our week-long event series – we want to help build a smarter, more capable community of digital strategists who can build websites in a way that makes sense.

If you or a colleague have literally anything to do with the conception, execution or maintenance of a website or e-mail newsletter, then this event is for you.

We’ll be answering business-critical questions such as:

  • What’s the difference between a “mother site” and a “microsite” and which one do I need?
  • How do I make sure my site and newsletter are GDPR-compliant?
  • How can I ensure my content is optimised for Google?

Here’s what the agenda will look like:

Monday 14 May
10.00: 5 signs you need a new website
11.00: How to build a new site in just 45 minutes
11.45: The evolution of email advocacy
12.30: Lunch

Tuesday 15 May
10.00: How to make dull annual reports sparkle online
10.45: How to generate the right WEB traffic & keep people coming back
11.45: 5 hot trends in website functionality
12.30: Lunch

All sessions are GDPR compliant.

At FleishmanHillard we’ve been honing the craft of digital public affairs for years now and adapting the kinds of products and services we offer to make sure we’re helping clients get what they need out of digital and social.

As part of this ongoing exercise we’ve upped our game on web design by building an ever closer partnership with Specialist, a FleishmanHillard company based in Bristol that is a market-leading web design and content production agency. Together we’ve built a great close-knit team of bright minds and expertise — and it’s high time the Brussels community got to know them as well as we do.

Our guests from Specialist include:

Peter Wilson – A former journalist and master digital strategist

Paul Page – the most engaging web developer you’ll ever meet

Cloe Roycroft – who can pick up complex issues and translate them into action in a digital and content-driven way faster than you can believe
