On the evening of Wednesday 22nd November, at the Hotel Le Plaza, a handful of FH representatives attended the EuroPAwards ceremony. It is with pleasure that we announce that FleishmanHillard, together with our client JA Europe, won the award for Ethical Campaign of the Year.
FH is proud to be working with JAEurope as part of our FH4Inclusion campaign. FleishmanHillard turned 70 this year, and to celebrate FH offices across the world have been giving their time to make a difference in our communities around a singular cause: social inclusion. In Brussels, our work with has been with JA Europe, an organisation which raises awareness about the lack of entrepreneurship education, as well as the benefits it can bring to for European jobs and growth.
Working with JA Europe, we created the ‘Switch On Europe’ campaign. The campaign was launched in April 2017 with a public stunt in front of the European Parliament and a simultaneous online campaign.
In order to create a campaign which galvanised the support of EU policy-makers, existing affiliates and corporate supporters to take a more active role in supporting entrepreneurship education, FH’s strategic approach aimed to strike a balance between provocation and memorable, using a mix of tactics and tools to keep momentum over time and documented every step and share results with supporters and partners.
By gathering 30 participants to call upon EU policy-makers to support entrepreneurship education FleishmanHillard shot the public act in front of the European Parliament, the organisations caught the attention of both public and private actors, amongst which 24 MEPs from 16 Member States who have committed to endorse and promote recommendations of EE-HUB through their policy work. The campaign was also endorsed by VP of the European Commission Jyrki Katainen and Commissioner Navracsics.
We are very grateful for the recognition from the EuroPAwards, for a project of which we were already hugely proud. Special recognition for their work on the campaign should go to David Turier, Annette Simson and Silvia Gherman from our Digital, Social and Creative team; Sophie Norman, Emma Cracknell and Liana Moro from the Food & Health team; and Crispin Maenpaa from the Technology team. As you can see, this project spanned several areas of expertise in the office; it demonstrates just how valuable our ability to collaborate across different teams and sectors can be. We hope the success of ‘Switch On Europe’ can act as a guideline for how we operate in future as well as a building block towards future successes
Congratulations are also due to our friends at JA Europe, who were represented on the night by Caroline Jenner and Diana Filip. Hopefully this will not be the last time we work together on a project.
