Gavan has several years of consulting experience, working in KPMG’s Deal Advisory practice in Dublin and an investment banking consultancy in New York. Before joining FleishmanHillard, Gavan worked as a researcher with IIAS-Energy Programme Asia, a research institute in The Netherlands. Gavan holds an MSc in International Relations from Universiteit van Amsterdam, where he graduated with Distinction/Cum Laude. Specialising in energy geopolitics, his final thesis researched the EU-Russia natural gas trade relationship, examining the impact of US LNG exports on Russia’s dominance in German and Polish natural gas markets.
