Chris Davies

Chris Davies, a member of FleishmanHillard’s International Advisory Board, served for 15 years as a Member of European Parliament for North West England. He began his political career as a campaigner for better housing conditions in Liverpool. He was elected to be a Member of Parliament in the House of Commons in 1995 and subsequently elected to the European Parliament. Davies became a key member in the parliament’s environment, public health and food safety committee. He has led various initiatives on climate and energy issues, waste and recycling policy, and reforms to promote sustainable fishing. For his work in the environmental field, in 2014 Chris Davies was named “MEP of the Year,” and also won the U.K.’s Green Ribbon political award as “Parliamentarian of the Year (MEP).”
