Roundtable: "the Governance of the Energy Union: Giving industry the certainty to invest?"

On 3 October 2017, FleishmanHillard is organising the first roundtable “Energise Europe” cycle. This edition will be dedicated to “The Governance of the Energy Union: Giving industry the certainty to invest?”.

In some ways the most important aspect of the Clean Energy for all Package is the proposed Governance mechanism, where the European Commission has proposed a new regulatory framework, which will seek to ensure that Member States deliver the five pillars of the Energy Union: renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy security, internal energy market, research innovation and competitiveness.

Join FleishmanHillard’s energy team and Mechthild Woersdoerfer, Director of Renewables and Energy Efficiency at DG ENER, alongside national representatives for a roundtable to discuss the proposed Governance framework from the viewpoint of all sectors of the economy, and how the National Energy and Climate Plans can be developed to improve clarity of direction and investor certainty.

3 October 2017, 12.00-14.00, FleishmanHillard Offices, 35 Square de Meeûs, 1000 Brussels. A lunch will be served from 12.00
