Caroline Wunnerlich recognised for outstanding contribution to European Public Affairs

The European Public Affairs Awards 2016

At the European Public Affairs Awards held in Brussels last night, 16 November 2016, the Managing Director of FleishmanHillard EU, Caroline Wunnerlich, was awarded the special category for Outstanding Contribution to EU public affairs. This prestigious award recognises not just exceptional delivery to one’s clients and consultancy, but commitment to the development and reputation of the public affairs industry in Brussels over a lengthy period of time.

Long considered a leading figure in the EU public affairs world, the jury’s comments  (as conveyed at the ceremony by its host) reflected the admiration and respect of her peers for the role Caroline has played over the last 25 years, in promoting understanding between the public and private sector and advancing innovative solutions in the face of new challenges facing the EU. A thought leader on transparency and strong codes of conduct, Caroline’s work with the European Public Affairs Consultancies’ Association (EPACA) helped build the ethical foundation of the public affairs profession. Caroline’s passion for coaching young people was also well noted, with her mentorship credited as having helped shaped the careers of scores of public affairs professionals, who have gone on to populate key positions in corporations and trade associations.
